About United Against Foodwaste

United Against Food Waste is a returning annual event that focuses on food waste as a social problem. At the events it is both food manufacturers, retailers, restaurants, educational institutions and organizations who come together to raise awareness of a problem that we can only overcome together and across sectors.

Stalls at the events give delicious surplus food to the participants while various food representatives and food waste experts share advice and knowledge from the scene.

The consumer organization Stop Wasting Food organizes the event in cooperation with Danish PR - and Communications agency Communiqué, The Ministry of Environment and the EU cooperation FUSIONS.

United Against Food Waste event in 2013 was the start of a collaboration with the Nordic Council of Ministers, which resulted in a number of creative food waste events being distributed across all the Nordic countries in 2014. Among these, of course, yet another in Copenhagen was held at the Town Hall Square in Copenhagen.
